Marietta City Schools offers a variety of interscholastic athletic teams for students in grades 7-12.  Marietta High School provides a wide variety of sports for both males and females to participate in during their high school careers.  Our male athletes can participate in football, cross-country, soccer and golf during the fall while our females can participate in volleyball, soccer, cross-country, tennis and golf.  During the winter season basketball, swimming and wrestling are available to both male and female athletes.  In the spring, male and female athletes can participate in track and crew. Also, available is girls softball, boys baseball and boys tennis.

Our Middle school athletics which encompasses grades 7 and 8 provides many of the same athletic teams. During the fall male athletes can participate in football, cross-country, golf and tennis. For our female athletes there is volleyball, tennis and golf.  During the winter season both male and female athletes can participate in basketball and wrestling. In the spring, Track is available for both male and females who wish to participate and Softball is also available for females.

For the past 26 years Marietta has been apart of the SEOAL where various athletic teams have won numerous team championships and All Sports Trophies. In the fall of 2011, Marietta switched leagues to the East Central Ohio League (ECOL).
